The Center for Missional Outreach encourages all North Texas Conference churches to work with United Methodist Volunteers In Mission (UMVIM) to plan and organize their mission trips. This organization exists to help you with insurance, training, and location possibilities.
The purpose of UMVIM is to enable the participation of United Methodists throughout the world in global mission volunteer programs so that affirming, empowering and trusting relationships are established.
To learn more about UMVIM and what we are doing here in the North Texas Conference, please contact the Center for Missional Outreach at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 972-526-5000 or 800-815-6690.
Finding a Mission Trip Site
The General Board of Global Ministries maintains mission trip lists. There is a 45-page document that lists U.S. domestic location projects by state. There are links to find a volunteer placement for an individual or a team as well as a guide for how to volunteer.
For international trip information, call our office and we can help you to connect through UMVIM with almost any country.
