Community Garden Near Capacity

The Common Ground Clarksville Community Garden currently has ten spaces left!

This partnership between Health4U Lamar and Red River Counties, St. Paul United Methodist Church, Red River County A&M Argri-Life Extension Office, and Red River County: Zip Code Connection is bringing diverse people together through gardening. Community residents can sign up to get a space to plant produce, free seeds and gardening classes to make sure their plants keep growing!

Applications for spots are available at the The Hub Community Center, Red River County Public Library, Lennox Health Resource Center, or The Historic Red River County Chamber of Commerce! And it’s FREE, thanks to the generosity of our partners, especially Health4U, who provided the grant funding to purchase the materials for the garden.

St. Paul United Methodist Church and its pastor, Rev. Evelyn Kelly stepped out in faith to host the garden as a way to bring the community together. It is hoped that in years to come, this garden can be expanded to other sites around Clarksville.

For more information about how to participate in this garden partnership, please contact Cassandra Randel at cassandra@ntcumc.org.
