This class will qualify you to serve on your local church's or district's Early Response Trained team. Local churches that are creating a team for the first time will learn how to best equip themselves for this ministry.
The training will teach volunteers how to safely help after a disaster with clean-up and debris removal. The goal is to make homes safe, sanitary and secure.
Teams are invited to serve at the request of the United Methodist disaster response coordinator for the effected conference, but they are organized and sent from the local church. If you are unsure if your local church or district has an existing team, please call our office.

An advance background check is required for all participants. If you have a current background check on file at your local church then let us know.

Then an email will be generated which will invite you to take the background check. Payment may be made online. Please let the Center for Missional Outreach know if you are doing the background check this way. We need to review the results.
